ABOUT

I'm Steph, I'm 26 and I currently live in Nottingham with my partner of seven years.  In the past few years alone, I've lived in two different countries, six different cities and twelve different houses.  I love all animals, but I'm particularly enthusiastic about octopuses, manta rays, moths and bees.  I've been vegan for over a year now and eat clean and healthy most of the time, but sometimes you just can't say no to eating five donuts in one sitting.  I can speak Japanese, albeit pretty badly through lack of recent practice.  I've been a huge Star Wars fan since I was four years old, and I (currently) have three Star Wars tattoos among others.  I have the travel bug and adore visiting new places, but I'm also a home body and tend to prefer snuggling up on the sofa with a movie more than going out on a more day-to-day basis.

Here on the blog, you can expect a range of posts from cruelty free cosmetics looks and reviews to lifestyle posts about my daily life, wishlists, cooking and general interests and opinion posts.  When I go away somewhere new or to an interesting place, I always come back with plenty of photos.

Regarding cruelty free cosmetics:

I still have the odd product that is animal tested that I'm using up with no intention of repurchasing, and will always specify when a product I use in a post isn't cruelty free.  I also personally do choose to buy from brands owned by non-cruelty free parent companies, but do so on a case-by-case basis based on my own research and the child brand's reputation and relationship with animal testing.  I will always mark any products with animal testing parent companies in my posts for your reference.

I'm only recently vegan in the grand scheme of things, and am still wrapping my head around the cosmetics side, but I am now trying to abstain from most animal derived ingredients in my beauty products.  I will be trying my best to include whether or not products I mention are vegan, but if I ever make a mistake please let me know!

For reference when reading product reviews:

♥ I have combination, sensitive skin.
♥ My skin tone is very fair with neutral tones.
♥ My hair is very thick, naturally curly/wavy and not currently colour treated.
